KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Rumor website FootballScoop reports Western Michigan University is working on a new contract for head football coach P.J. Fleck, who is expected to garner interest from multiple Power Five suitors this offseason.
An industry source described the deal as “unlike anything the MAC has ever seen.” The deal would rival what a head coach in the Big Ten, the ACC or the SEC might get.
WMU finished its regular season bowl-eligible with a 7-5 record, beating No. 24 Toledo on the road Friday afternoon.
