MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) -Four people from the Chicago area were arrested near Marshall after police say they had over 150 stolen or cloned credit cards from foreign countries.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies first responded to a report of possible credit card fraud at a gas station near Interstate 94 on Wednesday afternoon.
The caller said one of the suspects, who was across the street at another business, left after he was asked to pay for two cartons of cigarettes with cash.
The four suspects were found in a silver Volkswagen nearby. Investigators also discovered $3,000 cash and over $4,000 in smokes. All four have been lodged at the Calhoun County Jail on fraud felonies. Michigan State Police are still investigating the case.
