KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A Barry County man who preyed on young girls for 50 years has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Seventy-year-old David Heinsen of Nashville was turned into police by his wife after thousands of pornographic images involving children were found by a family member on his computer last year.
One of the photos was of a neighbor’s daughter, who had Down syndrome. He confessed to police that he had victimised other other girls.
Police would find 650,000 illegal photos in his computer.
Heinsen is already serving 40 to 60 years in state prison for his crimes. His federal sentence will run concurrently with his state sentence, but at Heinsen’s advanced age, he will likely never be a free man again.
