PRESQUE ISLE COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — The body of a missing Marshall woman who had not been seen since July 30 has been found in a wooded area near Millersburg and an arrest has been made.
The case is playing out in the northern lower peninsula. State Police Lt. John Grimshaw said he believes the death was randon.
Heather Young, 42, apparently had a fight with her boyfriend and went to a bar in Onaway, where she was seen with a 55-year-old local man.
He was interviewed, his home was searched and so was a wooded area where her body was found Tuesday. She had been shot to death.
The stranger she met in the bar has been arrested for first-degree murder, and three gun felonies. His name is being withheld until he is formally charged.
