ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – Angola Police say about 80 grams of methamphetamine along with marijuana, paraphernalia and a large amount of cash was found on a motorcyclist who allegedly tried to speed away from police in Steuben County on Saturday morning.
Angola Police say one of their officers tried to stop 30-year-old Andrew Fitch of San Pierre, Indiana at about 4:30 a.m. for a speeding violation.
Following a brief pursuit that went west on U.S. 20 from I-69, Fitch tried to turn north onto County Road 650 West but he lost control and laid the motorcycle on its side.
Fitch was not injured and was taken into custody.
He was booked at the Steuben County Jail on five charges including two felony methamphetamine counts. Fitch was also wanted on a warrant out of DeKalb County.
