KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety says a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man have confessed to breaking into around 15 vehicles in the South Westnedge neighborhood.
The first incident was reported in the 3400 block of Old Colony Road at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. A sergeant patrolling the same area spotted illuminated dome lights in several cars at around 2 a.m. Thursday.
A tracking dog led officers to the teenagers about a half-mile away on Parker Avenue. Stolen property was also located.
Police say both suspects were on probation for larceny-related offenses.
