BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A Battle Creek woman has been charged with attempting to kill an ex-boyfriend who had allegedly been abusing her for some time.
Ann-Enessece Robinson, 25, was reportedly holding her newborn when Omar Williams, 24, began to slap and punch her around Sunday.
She put the baby down at her home on Laura Lane, got a steak knife from the kitchen and, according to police, stabbed Williams a half-dozen times in the neck, face and chest.
Williams, who has a history of domestic abuse and a few outstanding charges, is being treated at Bronson Methodist Hospital’s trauma unit in Kalamazoo.
Robinson is jailed in Calhoun County, pending a preliminary exam in two weeks.
Her three children are being cared for by family.
