BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — The city of Battle Creek and the Calhoun County Land Bank are putting two previously abandoned homes up for sale.
Land Bank Executive Director Krista Trout-Edwards says the homes at 113 N. Wabash Ave. and 140 N. McKinley Ave. are move-in ready.
They were previously in pretty rough shape.
“They needed to be upgraded, as far as plumbing, electrical and mechanical,” Trout-Edwards said. “They needed new flooring, paint jobs and all of that kind of stuff.”She says specific buyers are being sought.
“It’s 120 percent of area median income,” Trout-Edwards said. “If you are a family of four, you cannot make more than $66,600.”
Those interested have until 2 p.m. Monday to make an offer. Those interested are urged to contact Troxel Realty at (269) 209-5149.
