BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A man wanted for attempted murder is in custody in Battle Creek all because his friends woke someone up with their noisy car.
Dispatch got the complaint at about 4 a.m. Sunday, and they sent a patrol car to Walter and Hanover Street.
When they made contact with the driver, they spotted a gun inside and attempted to remove a male suspect from the back seat.
The 30-year-old resisted. During the scuffle, a second gun fell out of his pocket.
It was only later after he was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon that they discovered he was wanted on five other warrants, including assault with intent to kill, armed robbery and several gun felonies.
The two guns were seized and are now evidence.
