BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A power outage has forced a temporary closure of the Secretary of State’s branch office on Capital Avenue Southwest in Battle Creek.
Multiple outages have left roughly 2,400 customers of Consumers Energy without power.
The utility has pegged restoration times between 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Secretary of State Ruth Johnson is urging Battle Creek customers to use the agency’s website or visit another branch office until electricity is restored. The branch offices nearest to Battle Creek are in Coldwater, Albion, Portage and Kalamazoo.
