PAW PAW (WKZO-AM) — A Paw Paw man will spend the next six and a half years in a federal prison for taking explicit videos of two six-year-old Kalamazoo girls and sharing them online using the Kik messaging app.
Joshua Harrison, 24, was initially charged with sexual exploitation of children and the possession and distribution of child pornography. In a deal with federal prosecutors, he agreed to plead guilty to the distribution charge in exchange for having the other counts dropped.
U.S. District Judge Robert J. Jonker also ordered Harrison to spend ten years on supervised release after his sentence. Harrison was also ordered to pay a fine.
His posts were discovered by investigators with Department of Homeland Security, who then traced the files back to Harrison’s computer.
