MARSHALL, MI (WTVB) – Four persons from the Chicago area were arrested near Marshall on Wednesday afternoon after police say they had over 150 stolen or cloned credit cards from foreign countries in their possession.
Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputies at first responded to a possible credit card fraud at a business just outside of Marshall.
The caller said a person who was no longer at their business was across the street at another business in a silver Volkswagen.
That is where the four suspects were found.
Besides the credit cards, police say several thousand dollars in cash and over 60 cartons of cigarettes were found.
All four have been lodged at the Calhoun County Jail on Felony Fraud charges. The investigation is continuing with the help of the Michigan State Police Fraud investigation unit.
