KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — One day after mass-murder suspect Jason Dalton was bound over to stand trial for allegedly killing six and wounding two others, over 400 motorcyclists gathered at the Perry Harley Davidson Dealership on Sprinkle Road for a memorial ride and fundraiser, saluting the victims of the February shooting spree in Kalamazoo.
“We are so blessed to live in a community that helps each other in trying times,” General Manager Jill Perry said. “We are excited to see a long line of motorcycles ride out in support of our neighbors.”
The event raised an estimated $6,500. The cash will be given to special fund set up by the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek Community Foundations and the United Way to support the survivors and the families of the victims.
Organizers also dedicated a plaque to the families.
