DEWEY LAKE (WKZO-AM) — Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Marine Division say an out-of-state visitor was lucky he escaped without injury after he crashed his personal watercraft into several piers and a docked boat on Dewey Lake Saturday night.
Witnesses told sheriff’s deputies that 21-year-old Joshua Glascott of Evergreen Park, Ill., was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control and crashed. Deputies also say he was apparently under the influence of alcohol.
He was arrested for drunken boating and cited for clockwise travel and not having a boater safety certificate.
