BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — The search continues for a gunman who pumped a number of shots into the lower body of a 34-year-old Battle Creek man late Friday night in the first block of West Rittenhouse Avenue.
The victim was with two friends when they were approached by a suspect who pulled out the gun and began firing.
The other two were not hit. Parked cars nearby did suffer some damage from stray bullets.
The victim is expected to recover after therapy.
A tracking dog was deployed but lost the scent. Investigators said they really don’t have much of a description of the gunman.
The motive for the crime was not released.
