VAN BUREN COUNTY (WKZO-AM) — Michigan State Police have released the name of the two drivers involved in that high-speed collision on Interstate 94 near Paw Paw on Wednesday morning.
They say 38-year-old Ryan Cramer of Mattawan crossed the median and crashed his van head-on into the approaching semitrailer near Mile Marker 62, along a stretch of the highway that was not equipped with cable barriers.
They aren’t saying why Cramer left the westbound lanes, only that it’s still being investigated.
Cramer died at the scene.
The truck driver, 32-year-old Gregory Jenkins of Chicago, was transported to Bronson Lakeview Hospital in Paw Paw for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries.
