STURGIS (WKZO-AM) — Sheriff’s deputies in St. Joseph County say they’re looking for the man who stabbed a hitchhiker inside his vehicle near Sturgis.
It happened in the 29000 block of Kelly Road in Burr Oak Township before 2 a.m. Monday.
The victim, a 25-year-old Mendon man, was rushed to a hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to a press release from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say the suspect is in his late-30s or early-40s. He was driving a red, two-door Pontiac Grand Prix with a missing mirror on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
