KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The Department of Public Safety responded to a call about two men kicking in the door of a home in the 100 block of East Maple Street at about 3:38 Saturday morning. The suspects then left the area by car.
The homeowner knew the suspects and was able to give police a description of their vehicle.
PSO’s caught up to the suspects at Rose and Wall Street, and during a search of the vehicle, discovered a handgun, ammunition and marijuana.
A 26-year-old was booked into the county jail for carrying a concealed weapon to await arraignment on Monday.
More charges may be added later.
