HILLSDALE COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Lightning and equipment failure is being cited by Consumers Energy as the reasons behind power outages in Hillsdale County which took place after a Wednesday night thunderstorm.
Crews managed to get just about everybody back on line by mid-morning Thursday.
Over 5,100 of Consumers’ nearly 18,000 customers in Hillsdale County were without power at the height of the outages.
Most of the outages were reported to the southeast of the City of Hillsdale in the area of Hudson and Pioneer Roads.
Storms also cut power to over 1,000 customers in Lenawee County.
No power outages were reported in Branch County.
