CAMDEN, MI (WTVB) – The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a break in which took place in broad daylight Tuesday morning while a Camden Township homeowner was at the residence.
Deputies say a homeowner in the 8000 block of West Camden Road heard a loud bang at his front door while he was upstairs and called 911. By the time he got downstairs, he saw that somebody had kicked the front door in and that a brown SUV was leaving the driveway.
Police say the vehicle, which was possibly a Ford, was last seen heading east on Camden Road.
The crook or crooks got away with a Remington .22 long rifle and a black purse.
