KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — Kalamazoo Public Safety says a man who was Super Drunk crashed his car into a home at the intersection of Mills Street and Stockbridge Avenue.
Sgt. Scott VanderEnde says they heard from witnesses that the suspect driver, a 51-year-old from Pennsylvania was traveling south on Mills Street at a high rate of speed, and kept on going even though the street ends at Stockbridge.
The car shot right through the intersection and into the front of the home, heavily damaging the front porch just before 10:00 Friday night.
They did not release his blood alcohol count, but apparently it was high enough to qualify the driver for enhanced penalties under Michigan’s “Super Drunk” Operating While Intoxicated Law. There were no injuries but the car was probably totaled.
