BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – In just one day, a Go Fund Me page has raised over $6,000 to help pay for the funeral of a 17 year old Bronson High School senior.
Tyler Wirtz was killed Tuesday evening when his pick-up truck was struck by a high speed Amtrak train in Van Buren County.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Pleasant Hill Missionary Church in Bronson. Interment will follow at Adam’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 26 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson from 1:00-4:00 and 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Wirtz’s stepfather passed away earlier in the year after a battle with cancer, and his mother Sarah Howard was in the process of moving to a new house this week when the accident happened. A community effort was being organized Friday afternoon to help her with the move.
