KALAMAZOO (WKZO-AM) — A Kalamazoo man with a history of domestic abuse has been charged with two felonies this time for allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend with a knife while they were in a car, and then refusing to let her go to the hospital.
52-year-old David Langston is charged with Domestic Abuse and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon. He has two previous arrests for domestic abuse.
The victim, whose name is being withheld, suffered defensive wounds to her hand when police say she agreed to give her ex-boyfriend a ride on Sunday.
Investigators say he pulled out a knife and assaulted her behind the wheel.
He finally bailed out of the car a few blocks from the hospital and she headed for the emergency room.
He was arrested soon after at his home. The judge ordered him held on $10,000 bond.
