BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — The Battle Creek Cereal Festival is this weekend.
It’s the annual celebration of the city’s heritage as the town where the Corn Flake was invented. A simple health food that has grown to become a multi-billion dollar global industry.
It features a parade at 6 pm this evening and the World’s Longest Breakfast Table from 8 am to noon tomorrow for anyone who wants a free bowl of cereal with all the trimmings.
There will be performances, live music, plenty of kid’s activities and demonstrations too.
Celebrity appearances by Tony the Tiger and Sugar Bear are scheduled.
