PRESQUE ISLE (WKZO-AM/FM) — A Northern Michigan man, who told a judge that he shot a Marshall woman twice, burned her body in a fire pit then chopped up the remains with a chainsaw, will be sentenced Monday in Presque Isle County.
Heather Young, 44, was visiting her boyfriend in the Northern Michigan community when they had a fight and she went to a bar.
She left with 55-year-old Brenton Walker and was never seen alive again.
Walker was allowed to plead guilty to second-degree murder and avoid a jury trial.
