HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – Two women were injured Tuesday afternoon in downtown Hillsdale when they were struck by a car which had jumped a curb.
Hillsdale Police Chief Scott Hephner says the incident happened on North Howell Street at about 3:00 p.m.
The car was driven by a 91-year-old woman who was not injured. It’s not known yet what caused the vehicle to jump the curve.
Hephner says one of the women struck suffered what he called an “obvious leg injury”. Both women were taken to Hillsdale Hospital by the Reading Emergency Unit.
No names have been released by Hillsdale Police.
The incident is believed to be an accident, but it is still under investigation.
