ALBION, MI (WTVB) – Cooler heads are starting to prevail in the City of Albion after a month of political turmoil.
The Calhoun County Elections Commission rejected recall petition language targeting Mayor Garrett Brown Tuesday, stating that it lacked facts and clarity. The other recall petition against Mayor Pro Tem Sonya Brown was withdrawn.
Meanwhile, City Manager Sheryl Mitchell withdrew her letter of resignation Monday night. The Battle Creek Enquirer reported the letter was submitted after some concerns were brought up by the City Council in a performance evaluation.
