BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Former Arc of Calhoun County director Kimberly Hommerding was sentenced on Friday after she entered a guilty plea to an embezzlement charge.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports Hommerding entered the plea as part of an agreement with prosecutors that calls for two years of probation, enrollment in Women’s Drug Court and no jail time, but she has to pay $20,000 in restitution.
Hommerding also has to pay over $1,400 in fines and costs.
Authorities claimed she improperly used the agency’s credit cards for personal spending between 2006 and 2015.
Hommerding, her mother and boyfriend were all placed on leave for undisclosed reasons two years ago after holding positions at Arc.
The Arc of Calhoun County provides advocacy through education, employment, and volunteerism for persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
