STURGIS (WKZO AM/FM) — Two old high school buddies from Sturgis, who had remained friends over the years, may have ended that relationship with a bang.
St. Joseph County Sheriff Bradley Balk says one of them shot the other following a night of arguing and disagreement early Monday morning.
The Sheriff isn’t saying what the argument was about. Was it an or some other reason for the friction that sparked the violence.
Deputies were dispatched to the 67000 block of Shimmel Road on a complaint about a shooting and discovered that a 29-year-old shot a 30-year-old.
The victim managed to drive himself to the Emergency Room at the local Hospital in Sturgis, despite his wound.
The younger man was arrested and is being held on several felony counts pending arraignment.
