KALAMAZOO (WKZO AM/FM) — The Kalamazoo School Board has appointed a bond committee to consider whether or not to put a bond question on an upcoming ballot.
The 34-member committee is made up of parents and staff and they will meet several times over the next few months to hear reports on district infrastructure needs. Their charge is to
decide just how great those needs are, whether it’s worth asking voters to renew or increase existing bonds, and a project list, if they decide to recommend a ballot item.
Supt. Michael Rice says he doesn’t expect a recommendation until after the New Year.
