GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Kent County man has been shot by a deputy during an early morning drug raid at the Burton’s Landing Apartment Complex in Grand Rapids.
The Kent County Tactical Unit was executing a search warrant for drugs at about 4:00 Sunday morning when for reasons that have not been detailed, an officer shot a male resident.
The wounded male is expected to survive the wound.
The deputy is expected to be riding a desk or perhaps be put on leave until a shooting review is conducted internally, and the Major Case Unit is also investigating.
