BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – A 27-year-old Coldwater man who passed out from an apparent drug overdose had to be rescued from his car Sunday in Battle Creek.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports police found the man while his car was in a snowbank in the 100 block of West Columbia Avenue near Highland Avenue.
Passing motorists told police the unconscious man had his foot on the accelerator and that the car was stuck and smoking.
After a window in the car was broken, the man was pulled out and given Narcan by Battle Creek firefighters. He was then taken to Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
According to the Enquirer, the man told police he had come to Battle Creek to buy drugs and that one of two men he was with injected him with heroin.
