LAWRENCE, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A series of chain reaction crashes that began near Lawrence in Van Buren County littered westbound I-94 all the way back to the 9th Street exit in Kalamazoo County Sunday.
State Police and the drivers blame slick roadways and white out conditions caused by the latest wave of Lake Effect snow Sunday.
Troopers report there were several injuries but none of them were serious.
School buses were brought in to evacuate stranded drivers and take them to a local shelter.
There were shattered vehicles scattered for miles along the interstate.
