HOPKINS TOWNSHIP (WKZO AM/FM) — There has been another devastating crash in Allegan that has claimed a young life and left another minor injured.
Allegan County Deputies say an older girl took it upon herself to borrow the family SUV to teach a younger neighbor how to drive.
Deputies say they were traveling down 20th Street during the noon hour Friday. Deputies say the younger girl was traveling too fast on the gravel road, lost control and rolled the vehicle.
The girls had not buckled up and the older girl was partially ejected and killed when the vehicle rolled over on her.
The younger girl suffered minor injuries.
The older girl was declared dead at the scene. No names or ages were released.
It follows a 4th of July collision between a car and a dirt bike that left one minor dead and another critically injured in Allegan County.
