BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — The Battle Creek Fire Department has released more details about giving former residents at the Village Inn Apartments access to their units this weekend, to attempt to retrieve personal property.
They are saying it will not be possible for all residents to participate, including those in 80 Riverside because parts of the complex remain unsafe for entry.
Parts of 90 and 100 Riverside will be open to residents on Saturday froom 1 to 4pm, and on Sunday from 10am to noon and from 1 to 3pm. Only certain apartments are safe to enter. In building 90; C2, C3, C4, C5, D2, D3, D4, and D5. In building 100; A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, B1, B2, B3, and B5.
They are asking that tenants bring some form of I.D. to enter the complex and a flashlight. The Property manager will be on site to identify those who may have left their identification in their units.
The apartment complex will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser at Applebee’s, at Lakeview Square Mall, this Saturday, July 28, from 8-10 a.m. The cost is a $5 donation, with all proceeds to benefit the Village Inn residents. Apartment residents are welcome, and will eat for free.
