BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Battle Creek Police are looking for a man who was involved in a hit and run accident Friday night which involved a 31-year-old Coldwater man.
The Battle Creek Enquirer reports the 34-year-old suspect from Battle Creek was apparently fleeing from a domestic incident on North McKinley Avenue. A 28-year-old woman who is the mother of the suspect’s children told police she was assaulted by him.
The hit and run crash happened at about 8:35 p.m. at the intersection of North McKinley Avenue and East Emmett Street when the suspect reportedly failed to stop, hit the SUV driven by the unidentified Coldwater man and then drove off.
A 35-year-old woman in the Coldwater man’s vehicle was taken to Bronson Battle Creek for treatment of minor injuries.
