BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — A Battle Creek woman will likely be formally charged on Monday with two counts of felonious assault for allegedly “swinging” a knife at two of her grown children late Saturday morning at a home in the first block of West Burnham Street.
The siblings, age 29 and 27, claim that their mother was intoxicated at the time.
An argument began and they claim the 46-year-old woman took a knife out of her purse and began to “swing it around.”
Both suffered defensive hand wounds, and were treated at the scene by Lifecare EMT’s.
Their mother, who dropped the knife when police arrived, was arrested and booked into the Calhoun County Corrections Center.
