LITCHFIELD, MI (WTVB) – The man who died in a downtown Litchfield fire on Wednesday was said to be getting his life in order after dealing with a number of substance abuse issues.
You may recall Joshua Douglas Page was charged in connection with the March 31, 2016 opiate overdose death of 26-year-old Kevin Gocha at the Hillsdale Motel.
According to the Hillsdale Daily News, charges against Page which included delivery of a controlled substance causing death were dropped after a key prosecution witness recanted her story.
Eventually, Page entered into a plea agreement with the Hillsdale County Prosecutors Office and was sentenced to time already served.
Page’s mother told the Hillsdale Daily News that her son loved being sober and was full of life.
