HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – Vice President Mike Pence keynoted the commencement ceremonies at Hillsdale College Saturday, congratulating the class of 2018 for entering the workforce at the right time.
Pence told graduating seniors there are more job openings in America than ever before thanks to a strong U.S. economy.
Pence says the families of college graduates often pour a lot into the academic experience and he told the graduates to stand up and turn around and congratulate their “impoverished parents” for helping them.
The Vice President touted the recent accomplishments of the Trump administration.
He said America has embraced its role as leader of the free world with action just this week on Iran, North Korea and Israel. He also noted the new American embassy is set to open in Jerusalem on Monday.
