HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – A Quincy woman is scheduled to be sentenced June 18, 2018 in Hillsdale County after she entered into a plea agreement last week in connection with a traffic accident last November that led to the death of her two-year-old daughter.
26-year-old Chloe Rae Rubin entered no contest pleas to charges of Moving Violation Causing Death and Reckless Driving causing Serious Impairment.
The original charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing death, which is a 15-year felony, and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated causing serious injury, which has a maximum sentence of five years, will be dismissed at the time of the sentencing.
The two vehicle head on crash happened on U.S. 12 west of Thompson Road in Allen Township.
Deputies said at the time of the accident that Rubin’s vehicle was heading west when it crossed the centerline and collided with a eastbound vehicle driven by 52-year-old Melinda Margaret Teubert of Litchfield. .
Rubin and Teubert were badly injured in the wreck. Rubin’s two year old daughter Raelinn died from her injuries the day after the accident.
