BATTLE CREEK (WKZO AM/FM) — The Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival has lined up three military tactical demonstrations for this summer’s big event.
They will be one of only four airshows in the nation to feature a demonstration by the Marine Osprey, a transport plane that takes off like a helicopter and flies like a plane will really big propellers.
The U.S. Navy will be demonstrating its FA-18 Super Hornet fighter, which will only be making five appearances nationwide this year.
And the third demonstration will be a return to Battle Creek of the legendary A-10 Thunderbolt, the flying bathtub they also call the Warthog which will be demonstrated by the Air Force.
This year’s festival will be staged from June 28th through July 4th.
