QUINCY TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A 33-year-old man was injured Thursday night when Michigan State Police say he crashed after he tried to avoid hitting a deer in Branch County’s Quincy Township.
The crash took place on Briggs Road south of Jonesville Road and was reported at about 6:00 p.m..
Troopers say after the driver tried to avoid hitting the deer, the vehicle rolled over in a nearby corn field.
The injured driver was taken to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
The accident is still being investigated by the State Police.
The Quincy Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance were also dispatched to the scene.
Police once again are asking drivers if they encounter a deer in the road, hit it and don’t take evasive action which could cause your vehicle to go out of control and crash.
