HILLSDALE, MI (WTVB) – Hillsdale Hospital has announced that due to the increase in positive Influenza B and RSV cases within the community, both of which can be fatal to infants, they are restricting Birthing Center visitors to significant others and healthy grandparents.
Hospital officials say children, including siblings, aged 16 and under are not permitted in the Birthing Center at this time.
They add the guidelines will be reviewed regularly as flu season progresses and the restrictions are essential to protect newborn babies in their care.
When it is safe and appropriate to do so, visitation restrictions will be lifted.
