BURR OAK TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Fire Department was among at least six departments who had to battle a fire at the former Kuntry Corner Discount store on Lepley Road in St. Joseph County’s Burr Oak Township.
Bronson provided a tanker to fight the flames, which according to a video posted on the Sturgis Journal’s Facebook page, broke through the roof of the building.
Other departments called included Burr Oak, Colon, Centreville and Tri-Township.
The fire was reported at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
The store recently moved to a new location in Centreville.
