KINDERHOOK, MI (WTVB) – A semi which was hauling auto parts caught fire Thursday morning on southbound I-69 near the Kinderhook exit.
Lakeland firefighters were dispatched at about 9:45 a.m..
The trailer was said to be fully engulfed at one point.
Coldwater firefighters were called in for mutual aid just before 10:00 a.m. and the fire was called under control a few minutes later.
It was declared out at around 10:15 a.m..
One lane of the interstate had to be shut down as fire crews battled the flames.
Firefighters cleared the scene at about 10:30 a.m.. No injuries were reported.
