ATLANTA, GA (WTVB) – The surging Detroit Pistons didn’t have enough to slow down the league’s hottest team as Detroit fell 93-82 yesterday afternoon at Atlanta. It was just the third loss in 14 games for the Pistons while the Hawks stretched their winning streak to 13 games. Greg Monroe scored 16 points and pulled down 20 rebounds in the defeat while Andre Drummond added 13 points and 18 boards for Detroit.
The Pistons were held to a season-low 12 points in the first quarter and the loss ended Detroit’s 7 game road winning streak, one short of the franchise record. Atlanta has won 27 of 29 to take over first place in the Eastern Conference with a 34-8 record.
The Pistons will take a 16-26 mark into their home game tomorrow night against Orlando.
