QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – Two women were beaten early Friday in the Village of Quincy with one of them seriously injured while the man accused of the domestic violence is now behind bars at the Branch County Jail. The incident at the suspect’s home on Cole Street was reported around 12:45 a.m.
The man that authorities said lived with one of his alleged victims was arrested an hour later at the Glen Avenue Apartments. Police say he bloodied his face when he smashed his head into the plexiglass window in the rear seat of the Quincy patrol car. He was booked at the jail after being checked out at the Community Health Center of Branch County. That’s where the two women were taken for treatment with one of them transferred by ambulance to Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
Michigan State Police assisted Quincy Village Police, who are continuing their investigation.
