NEAR PAW PAW (WKZO) — A Kalamazoo County man making a late night booze run on a motorized bike will face charges in Kalamazoo and Van Buren County after he is pulled over by Deputies.
They became concerned because not only was the 22-year-old from Portage weaving and having trouble keeping the bike straight as he traveled down M-43 near Paw Paw, but there were no lights or reflectors in the back of the bike making it very difficult to see the bike.
He was obviously intoxicated when he was stopped, and failed dexterity tests for both drugs and alcohol.
They found open containers of alcohol and drug paraphernalia in his possession.
He was booked into the Van Buren County Jail where they found an open warrant out of Kalamazoo for an unrelated alcohol offense. He will be turned over to Kalamazoo County when they get through prosecuting him.
