CENTREVILLE (WKZO) — A Leonidas man is being investigated by the Detroit office of The ATF on potential weapons violations after investigators in St. Joseph County prosecuted him for molesting children.
In fact 38-year-old John Feek was initially charged with 31 separate counts of criminal sexual conduct and child abusive activity for years long sexual relationships with under aged children.
Feek cut a deal and pled guilty to one count of first degree criminal sexual conduct and has been sentenced to 25 to 50 years. In exchange, the 30 other charges were dropped.
TV-3 reports that Feek, who was the owner and operator of a gun shop in Mendon was found to have a house full of guns and ammo, including a cache of guns, grenades and ammo buried in a container of his back yard.
There are allegations that some of the guns may have been modified to operate as automatics, and that’s why the ATF is interested.
