MARSHALL (WKZO-AM) — A Marshall woman is being treated at a hospital after a very large tree fell on her much smaller vehicle, crushing the back of it.
She was at North Madison and Forest Streets when witnesses say they heard a large crack and then felt the earth shudder as the tree fell into the roadway at about 3:30 p.m. Friday. The tree took out a number of wires as it fell to the ground.
The SUV was buckled and the doors no longer worked. The woman had to be cut out of the vehicle and was taken to the hospital.
Her name and current condition haven’t been released.
